When you are a school teacher, there is bound to be a few students who would not abide to your rules. They will tend to pose a challenge to the rest of the class if not dealt with. At times, the students might intentionally break the rules which could leave you very frustrated and not know how to deal with them. One of the reasons why you should try to come up with ways to help the students is because they might influence the rest of the classmates and motivate them to misbehave. Intervention refers to a formulated method that you should come up with and talk to the students in hopes of helping them stop their misbehaving. It will ensure that the students remain well mannered and you can continue teaching your classes the proper way. When you want to come up with a behavior intervention plan, it could be challenging especially if you are a first-time teacher. The first thing that you should do is sit down with the students and have an honest talk. Like anybody else, the misbehaved students might feel misunderstood and are looking for a way to let out their issues. They may have tried talking to others about the issues they are facing but with n luck. It is therefore important that you have a genuine talk with the students and try to understand why they are acting out. It is lso important that you make the students understand how their behavior might be affecting the people around them. That includes; the teachers, their classmates and probably even their family. You could try showing them examples of how other students should behave at school or in the classroom. That will enable them to realize their mistakes and probably opt for a positive change. You could also try to listen o heir side of story and ask them if there are any rules that they are not comfortable with.
